Art has the remarkable ability to tell stories that words alone cannot…
It connects us to our emotions, our memories, and to one another, offering a quiet language that speaks differently to every person who experiences it—My purpose is to create pieces that do more than complement a room—they become companions to life's quiet moments, reminders to slow down, and invitations to notice beauty in the everyday. It is a privilege to create work that may be treasured for generations, carrying its story forward while becoming part of someone else's. Let me help you create a space that feels warm, inviting, and uniquely yours—a place that reflects your personality, tells a story, and brings you joy every time you walk through the door. Choosing original artwork is more than adding something beautiful to a room; it’s creating an environment that feels like you.

Transform your home with a beautiful original artwork by Rikki Drotar.
I like to think that each painting is a conversation between intention and perception—a way to capture a moment, a mood, or an idea but it finds its fullest meaning through the life of the person who welcomes it into their home.
Each piece is thoughtfully created using acrylic and mixed media, layered with color, texture, and movement. Water plays an important role in my process, creating unexpected drips, flowing layers, and a watercolor-like quality that brings a sense of movement and depth to each painting.
With an impressionistic approach and carefully chosen color palettes, these works are created to evoke emotion, inspire connection, and bring a distinctive sense of beauty and feeling to your space. Each piece is beautifully presented in a thoughtfully selected floating gallery frame. I create art not simply to fill a wall, but to create something deeply personal that brings warmth, meaning, and beauty into your most cherished spaces. In a world that often moves too quickly, I hope my paintings invite you to pause, breathe, and reconnect with the beauty, wonder, and what you’re needing to feel in your life.

Natural Wood Floating Frame
A luminous landscape unfolds in a lively monochromatic palette of golden yellows, filling the space with warmth, light, and a sense of joy. The glowing tones invite you to step closer and imagine yourself at the water’s edge, taking in the peaceful beauty of a golden afternoon.
Perhaps you’re standing along the shore, letting the warmth of the day wash over you—or maybe you’ve stepped onto the water, drifting into the quiet beauty of the moment. This piece invites you to linger, breathe deeply, and let yourself be carried away by the light.

Bronze Floating Frame
A quiet path opens through the trees, drawing you toward the soft light beyond. Rich layers of earthy greens, light blues, and warm golden tones create a landscape that feels both familiar and dreamlike—a place where you can slow down, breathe, and simply be.
The light filtering through the trees creates a gentle invitation to move forward, while the deeper tones in the foreground remind us that beauty can be found in both the shadows and the light. There is something peaceful about not knowing exactly where the path leads, but trusting that there is something beautiful waiting just beyond the trees.
This piece is an invitation to step away from the noise, wander for a while, and find your own quiet place of renewal.
22h X 29.5w Bronze Floating Frame
Capturing that beautiful moment when the light breaks through, this landscape is a reminder, there is always hope—and that joy can often be found in unexpected places.
Teals and soft greens create a sense of peace, while light dances across the fields and filters through the clouds, offering a feeling of inspiration, possibility, and gentle guidance. Hidden within the sky, delicate pieces of decorative paper add another layer of meaning—a quiet reminder that there are always beautiful things yet to come.
Created with acrylic paint and decorative paper, this piece invites you to pause, breathe, and look toward the light, bringing a sense of beauty, hope, and possibility into your space.

“My mom is just in love with her painting! It’s a beautiful depiction of the sea, shore, and small bay, and is so peaceful and calming. It takes her to one of her favorite places, remembering gently floating in the water while waves move up and down. It has a secluded feeling, just her, the shore, and the sea.”
